Originally founded in 1992 as Open Door at Christmas, Cheltenham Open Door gradually expanded and became both a registered charity and limited company. Cheltenham Open Door supports vulnerable, disadvantaged and lonely people and we work with them to relieve poverty, hardship and social or emotional distress. Anyone can help out

Open the Book is a nationwide project which offers primary school children an opportunity to hear the major stories from the Bible. Tewkesbury Methodist Church has a team which presents 'Open the Book' assemblies in two local schools:  Tirlebrook primary every other Thursday, meeting at Tewkesbury church at 9

Tewkesbury, Apperley and Winchcombe churches all support the local foodbanks. There is a box for donating food at Tewkesbury and Apperley churches. To find out more about Tewkesbury Foodbank visit their website.

Winchcombe Methodist church support the local Cobalt by selling cards that members of Winchcombe Methodist church make. Cobalt is a medical charity that is leading the way in diagnostic imaging and helping to change the face of modern medicine. Winchcombe have session where they meet to make the cards out

At Tewkesbury Methodist Church we actively support Action for Children, who protect and support children and young people, providing practical and emotional care and support. Action for Children ensure children's and young people's voices are heard, and campaign to bring lasting improvements to their lives.
